About
Who are we?
This website was developed by the Maine Center for Disease Control (Maine CDC) Diabetes Prevention and Control Program (DPCP) and partners dedicated to:
- promoting excellence in diabetes care
- increasing access to diabetes prevention and care
- promoting and supporting diabetes self-management education and
- eliminating disparities related to diabetes prevention and control
The goal of this website is to increase awareness of prediabetes and diabetes and to connect Mainers to existing diabetes prevention and management services. These services are provided at local community and clinical organizations throughout Maine. Read through the pages on this website to learn about diabetes and prediabetes services and how to access them.
This website was developed from medical and science-based information, and resources are provided to help you make the best choices for you and your family. Maine CDC DPCP and its partners do not profit in any way from your use of this site.
Am I at Risk for Diabetes?
If you know someone who might be at risk, have them take the online quiz to find out. They can then ask their doctor for a blood sugar screening test if their score is 5 or more.
