October 19, 2022 @ 5:00 pm - October 18, 2023 @ 6:00 pm
Being at risk for developing type 2 diabetes can be scary, but there are things you can do to help reduce your risk. By eating healthier and increasing activity you can improve your blood sugar level and your overall health. The National Diabetes Prevention Program can help. This program provides a whole year of support from a trained lifestyle coach, along with peer support within a group setting. Don’t miss your chance to find encouragement, advice and support from individuals who are trying to live a healthier lifestyle, just like you. This class meets weekly for 16 weeks, then twice a month for eight months, for a total of one year.
This class is meeting in-person at the Boys & Girls Clubs/Alfond Youth and Community Center at 126 North Street, Waterville, ME. For more information or to register for this class, please contact the program coordinator, Melissa Emmons at 626-7350.
